This is a character driven series that focuses on a neighborhood of drug dealers and cops. It is not your everyday "Hood show" or "Cop Drama". These stories will reflect some aspect of your life once you unknowingly move pass the exterior. There is drama. There is murder. There are victims. There are families. There is pain, depression, insecurities, hopelessness, but not you imagine in a show. It's the same issues you go through with your family but occasionally there is a dead body in the front seat of a car, in an alley, in a hallway, and in between dreams. Then there is The Law. More important are The Laws Of The STREET.

We are looking for actor(s) in the Washington, dc, MD, and Va area only. We are doing an open casting call on Wednesday, Jan 27 at 6:15pm. We are having an OPEN AUDITION FOR THE FOLLOWING ROLES:
Laws Of The STREET is casting for current characters:
African American Female-Looks between the ages of 20-30. Auditioning for addicts, dealers, and high maintenance girlfriends
African American Female-Looks between the ages of 14-16. We are looking for females to play students. We are really looking for females to play Doms
Teenage- African American males-Looks between the ages of 14-30. Auditioning for streetwise individuals.
The show is an independent series so it is ongoing. It would be great to have you a part of our team. Your schedule has to be open for rehearsals on Mondays and Weds from 6:15pm to 730pm. We may shoot on those days or weekends. The audition is Wednesday, Jan. 27 at 6:15pm at Merritt Middle School-5002 Hayes Street, N.E.-Washington, DC 20019. You can submit a headshot but it is not important that you do not have one. We welcome new actors as well.

We are also looking for extras. Being an extra on this show does not limit you. We have actors that started off as extra that now have strong roles. We are currently interested in individuals to play teenagers, children, pedestrians, drug dealers, and cops.

We are also looking for editors with final cut pro>. And someone with a boom-mic with attachments.There is no budget so there is no pay with this project. However, this is a great vehicle with an amazing cast and crew. We have been featured at the Kennedy Center doing a stage adaptation of the show. We received a 5min. standing ovation.
